Simultaneous Disputes

This is another tactic for you to use when disputing items on your report that may seem elementary, but it seems to continually work. The credit reporting agencies are constantly searching for ways to make the credit dispute process more difficult for consumers, while the credit experts constantly search for ways to circumvent the process. For some years now, the credit experts have used the “Simultaneous” dispute to successfully remove derogatory items.

The whole idea of this is to mess with the automated system and hopefully inspire some human error. There are a couple ways to accomplish this:

1. Dispute different sections of a trade line in different letters. Example;
· Dispute the account balance in the 1st letter
· Dispute the late payments on the 2nd letter

Truthfully, the specifics of the dispute are irrelevant. The point of the tactic is; the credit reporting agencies sends the disputes to the data furnisher through e-Oscar, and when the data furnisher receives the multiple messages they will often ignore the 2nd and 3rd messages. Most likely they will think that the multiple messages were the result of a computer error.

2. Send the letters to different addresses for the credit reporting agencies. The “staggered” letter theory has worked for some time now. Credit “Gurus” will often combine the different sections through the use of the different addresses for the bureaus. They often send the letters a few days apart as well to maximize the potential affect.

In order to utilize the multiple address theory, you must have all or at least some of the credit bureaus addresses. Please note that addresses change frequently and you should make sure there is a return address on all envelopes that go to non-published addresses. This ensures your prompt notification if the address you choose is no longer valid.

Here is a list of all the credit bureau addresses (published and unpublished):
